I'm twenty-four. Well, twenty-five I guess, dependin' on your opinion on the time you're from versus the time it is here. He's eleven months younger than me to the day.

I don't know, our relationship ain't ever really been like that I guess? Like, don't get me wrong, we give each other a hard time, but there's some things we both just sorta know not to touch on, out of respect.
( not somethin' he really likes or wants to talk about, but he sorta backed his way on into this one, didn't he? he thinks on the matter a moment, tryin' to decide if al would be offended if he out an' told her an' decided that he probably wouldn't care. he can almost hear him sayin', well that's what happened, isn't it? he wears the evidence of his trauma plain in the arm he's lost. he can't so much as hide it from the world the way gene can. )
He had a rough time of it in the Pacific. Can't speak to how much you may know of the history there, but he lost an arm and spent some time in an internment camp. Reckon it weren't the most hospitable place a fella could while away near a year.
So we joke a spell, but... you know, some things cut too close.
Oh, he's all right. Married. Three daughters, one's just at an age where she's starting to run circles around us, and I bet you dollars to dimes the other two ain't far behind her! His wife's an angel, I swear to the Lord. Helps me run my veterinarian clinic. Reckon he and I would both be plumb lost without her.
this is definitely a time difference thing because the thought of getting married now makes me want to puke and i'm older than him let alone the kids i'm glad he's doing good, though
Well, marriage ain't for everyone. Reckon my brothers expect I'll be an eternal bachelor at this rate!

And yeah, as am I. He deserves a little peace and quiet. Agathine's real good for that, though. I think every now and then about moving back to New York, but I don't know if I have the taste for city life any more.
